Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about Citra AI — the sovereign-capable operational platform led by our flagship Self-Improving Decision Apps, built by your team in plain English, on your data and under your governance.
The Platform & Decision Apps
What is Citra AI?
Citra AI is a sovereign-capable AI platform for enterprise and government, built on open-source models. Its flagship is the Self-Improving Decision App, and every decision it makes — plus the reasoning why — is written to a decision memory you own, so the judgment stays even as people leave and models change. It runs on your data, under your governance, and is audited on every action.
What is a Self-Improving Decision App?
Describe a decision in plain English and Citra delivers an app with its own screen, agent, and dashboard. It recommends the action with evidence, and you choose how much autonomy to grant: by default it works on-demand and a person approves every write to a system of record; auto-recommend prepares recommendations ahead of time; and, opt-in, auto-process handles specific low-value, high-frequency tasks automatically. Every mode runs inside your policy gate and is fully audited, and every outcome feeds back — so the decision gets sharper each week. Built by your team, no developer required.
Does Citra write to our source systems automatically?
Only if you choose to let it. By default, every write to a system of record — SQL Server, SAP, or any system you use — waits for a person to approve the recommendation. You can opt in to auto-process for specific low-value, high-frequency tasks; even then, writes stay inside your policy gate, are schema-validated, idempotent, and fully audited, and you can pause autonomy at any time. You decide what the AI is allowed to commit.
What is a Decision Service?
A Decision Service is the headless form of a Decision App — the same recommend, act, and learn logic exposed as a Decision API with SDKs, so it plugs into your own front-end and existing systems org-wide, on web, mobile, and desktop. Use the built-in app when people work a queue, and the Decision API when another system needs a governed, auditable decision in-line. The Decision App and Decision API are the wedge.
Who is Citra AI for?
Enterprise and government teams in regulated industries — banking and finance, insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, and legal — where data sovereignty is non-negotiable.
Products & Capabilities
What else can the platform do besides Decision Apps?
The wedge is the Decision App and its headless Decision API. Around it, the same governed engine lets your team ask their operational data anything — Operations Chat for grounded, cited answers and Operations Analytics for deeper cross-system investigation — and wire deterministic, cross-system processes with Operations Workflow. Each Decision App also builds its own live dashboard and copilot. One deployment, one security model, one audit trail.
What are Operations Chat and Operations Analytics?
Operations Chat gives grounded, cited answers across your operational data in seconds. Operations Analytics is a deeper agentic analyst that plans, digs across your systems, and writes a decision-ready, cited report for the questions one query can't answer.
What is Operations Workflow?
Deterministic, multi-step orchestration across your systems for repeatable processes that need no judgment call — IT-wired, policy-gated, and audited.
Do we need developers to build with Citra?
No. Business teams author the app — its screen, agent, and dashboard — in natural language.
What is Citra's decision memory?
Every recommendation, your team's decision, the reason why, and the real outcome are written to a decision ledger you own — the golden source that records the case, evidence, override, why, outcome, and file fingerprints. There is nothing to label and nothing to train: it works from day one, grounds the next decision, and outlives any model — swap the model, keep the memory. Each proven decision also becomes a free, verified label you can later use to train small models for routine tasks.
Does Citra work across all our systems?
Yes. Citra decides across SAP, SQL Server, Salesforce, and your homegrown and legacy systems — it is a cross-system decision layer you own, not an agent locked inside one vendor's walls. The recommendation a person approves is written back to whichever system of record the case lives in.
Can Citra catch duplicate or tampered evidence?
Yes. Every evidence file — photos, documents, invoices, receipts — is fingerprinted and checked against everything seen before, so a recycled or altered file (for example, a meter photo cropped and rotated from a case closed two years earlier) surfaces in milliseconds, before a payout goes out.
Privacy, Sovereignty & Compliance
How does Citra keep our data private?
Every deployment is single-tenant and isolated, runs on open-source models so your data is never sent to a third-party AI vendor, and never trains any model. Per-tenant isolation, named-approver gates, and a full audit trail are built in. With BYOC, Citra runs entirely inside your own cloud, so your data never leaves your perimeter.
Why open-source models?
No vendor lock-in. You can swap models as the field evolves or bring your own fine-tunes — the model is a component, not the platform.
Is Citra AI secure enough for regulated industries and government?
Yes. Single-tenant deployment, role-based access, and audit-ready by default — designed to support requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, RBI, IRDAI, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
Where does Citra run? Is it SaaS?
Two options. The standard is Citra Cloud — a dedicated, single-tenant deployment hosted and operated by Citra. Your instance is isolated from every other customer, but it runs in Citra's cloud (a dedicated SaaS), not inside your own perimeter. For full data sovereignty, BYOC (premium) deploys Citra inside your own private cloud, where your data never leaves your perimeter.
Pricing & Engagement
How much does Citra AI cost?
Pricing is scoped to your deployment and quoted per engagement — predictable licensing, with no per-call API charges. Contact us for a scope.
Is there a free trial?
There is no free tier. Engagements start with a live demo, with an optional proof-of-concept on a sample of your data.
How does getting started work?
Three steps: a live demo and discovery, then deployment and your first Decision App, then composing more apps as your operational memory grows. Engineering-led from day one.
Who is behind Citra AI?
Citra is built by Trustedwear Tech, a registered Indian entity, founded by Rohit Kumar Chandan (a Microsoft alumnus) with a team carrying 20+ years of enterprise experience. It is incubated at IIT Patna and funded by Startup India, MeitY, and the Bihar Government.
